Outsider Magazine was a short-lived but impactful independent publication created by a collective of Black and Brown youth who were tired of seeing faces like theirs plastered over shock-value articles filtered for white consumption. Meant as a vessel to spark cross-cultural dialogue, make global news accessible, and uplift journalists and creators of color, Outsider aimed to form a community for those left on the outskirts of mainstream media. This was my first design project ever at 15.
